Your First AI Note
AI Note generates a complete, standalone clinical note that you can copy and paste into any system. Unlike Auto Fill, it does not require a web-based EMR — it works for paper-based workflows, desktop EMR software, or any situation where you need a formatted note.
Step-by-Step
- Select your patient. Open the extension and click the patient you’re writing a note for.
- Enter a daily summary. Describe what happened during today’s visit. Be specific about exercises, patient responses, and any changes in status. You can type it or use the voice recorder.
- Click AI Note. Press the AI Note button in the extension popup.
- Choose your discipline. Select your profession (PT, OT, SLP, Nursing, etc.) from the dropdown.
- Choose the note type. Pick the format you need: Daily Note, Progress Note, Evaluation, Discharge Summary, or others.
- Customize sections (optional). Toggle which sections to include in the note, such as Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan.
- Click Generate.
Using Your Note
Once the note is generated, you have several options:
- Copy the full note to your clipboard with one click, then paste it into your EMR or documentation system.
- Email the note directly from the extension.
- Edit the note inline before copying if you need to make adjustments.
Tips
- AI Note is ideal when your EMR doesn’t have a web interface or when you want a single formatted note rather than filling individual fields.
- Your daily summary is the primary input — the more detail you provide, the better the note.
- A brief summary still works. If you only jot a few words, the AI writes a full note by drawing on the patient’s eval summary and prior visits. It describes progress in qualitative terms (for example, “ambulated an increased distance with the walker”) rather than inventing specific measurements you didn’t provide, so you can add exact figures where you want them. Any numbers you state yourself are used exactly as written.
- The AI uses your patient’s eval summary and prior note history to maintain continuity across visits.
